Diabolik was created in Italy in 1962 by the sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani (school teachers !). This series was published at first in Milan in small size and drawn by Gino Marchesi then by others among whom Sergio Zaniboni, Paolo Ongaro, Alarico Gattia, Lino Jeva, Floriano Bozzi and many others. In France, it was published in small size format from 1966 till 1980.Also check "Danger: Diabolik", the Italian thriller about the super criminal, filmed by cult horror director Mario Bava for Dino de Laurentiis in 1967 with John Philip Law and Marisa Mel.
