Photographs taken by Gary Brown during the last ANRA Summer Nationals Auto Club Famoso Raceway Bakersfield, Ca. June 23. The American Nostalgia Racing Association Inc. is an organization of racers and enthusiasts dedicated to advancing the sport of nostalgia drag racing. The ANRA Racing Program includes vehicles circa 1979 and before, designed and built or updated to meet modern safety specifications. Dragsters are front-motored, as opposed to the modern rear-engine designs of today. "Nostalgia" vehicles have kept pace with other motorsports and have broken all records previously established in the 1960's and 70's.
