Un Regard Moderne - Cult bookshop in Paris

Un Regard Moderne is a cult bookshop in Paris. Actually my favourite place to find odd books, limited editions and lot of paper collectors ! The shop is runned by the mysterious and érudit Jacques Noel, Today, looking for some weird stuff, I met Nicolas, a big fan of Los Tigres del Ring. Nice people shop at Un Regard Moderne ;) Address : 10, rue Git le Coeur, 75006, Paris.

Bouquinistes in Paris - Jean-François Cachot

Yesterday, I took these photographs of a bouquiniste stand (french term for second-hand books open air resellers), in Paris, near the Cathedral Notre Dame... They are more than 200 to sell books, comics, mags, postcards (and more and more often, Eiffel towers, caps and tee shirts as souvenirs!)... But this one is very special, I know him for, maybe, 25 years ! He's specialized in popular literature, sci-fi, comics... He's one of the few to remain open all year long since 40 years! Big up to Jean-François Cachot! And his portrait is here! He's located Quai de la Tournelle, in front of rue de Pontoise, close to Notre Dame.

Librairie Temps Futurs - Paris science fiction bookshop memorabilia

Founded in 1973 by Stan and Sophie Barets, this cult bookshop was THE place in Paris for any sf, fantasy or comics lover and closed its doors in the late 80's. "Album", more specialized in comics took its place, but it's another (his)story (yes Yves, I'll talk of you another time !). It was at Temps Futurs where mixed Jean-Pierre Dionnet (Jean-Pierre, you see I found enough space to talk about you !), Philippe Druillet, Serge Clerc... And I remember haunting the place for hours each week ! Among the guys working at TF at the time, remember Patrick Gaumer, José-Louis Bocquet... And my lost friend Bruno Terrier.
