By the mid-’70s, more than 50 million comic books were produced monthly in Mexico, when the population was about 65 million. They say Mexico is second only to Japan in comic-book consumption, thanks in part to the wide female and adult readership in both countries. But there's still a lack of information about the comic books culture in Mexico. Here's a personal choice of tittles issued in this period.
