Indian Larry - Encounters with a Legend

These are two special souvenirs I keep from Larry. First is this business card from Psycho Cycles, NYC. I first met Larry during a trip to NYC in 1992. Olivier Mosset, Swiss artist living in NYC at the time and hardcore biker riding his rigid panhead (made by Larry) introduced him to me. Years later, in 2003, I met him again in Brooklyn at Gazoline Alley. The pix shows Larry, me sitting in front of him and my friend Joel standing behind. Thanx to Eric for the (poor ;)) quality photo!

About Indian Larry

Of course, I've nothing new to add to all Indian Larry's tributes. Only that I met him once, only few months before his accident. It was at Gazoline Alley in Brooklyn. He didn't have so much time to spend with me and my mates (at the time, he was working on "Chain of Mystery" if I remember well)... but he did ! We talked about a lot of things : Von Dutch, Ed Roth, bikes, sculpture... Then he drove us to his friend's Hugh Mackie "Sixth Street Specials" shop and introduced us to Paul Cox and Joe Coleman. He has nothing to expect in return from us but our thanks and respect. Larry was only himself. But you already knew that.
