The Werewolf of Paris is a horror novel writen by Guy Endore in 1933. It tells the story of Bertrand Caillet who turns into a werewolf. In 1962 Hammer Studios produced the Curse of the Werewolf, directed by Terence Fisher, the first adaptation of the story. "Legend of the Werewolf" in 1975 was also based on the novel. This cover (the one I prefer !) is from the Avon 1951 edition.

As much as I agree that this cover is cool I think the back cover deserves some attention too. With it's unmistakably male shoe prints morphing into paw prints it was more intriguing to me than the front cover art.
