RIP French photographer Christian Poveda (54), shot yesterday in San Salvador. Christian was a central american gangs specialist (Salvadorian M 18, MS). His photos have been published in world famous mags as Stern, Paris Match, The New York Times, Le Monde, El Pais... And he was a really friendly guy I met once last year at his exhibition opening during the festival Etonnants Voyageurs, along with another great war photographer that I have to post about one day : Guy Chauvel. Christian's documentary La Vida Loca about maras will be released in France on the 30th September. Too late for him to see his work on screens !

Hey Filo Loco: El Salvador is *Central*, not "South" America. Ignorance of basic facts like this undermines your credibility.
