Born Paul Bérato (1915 -1989 ), this french writer used several pen names like Yves Dermèze, Paul Béra, Paul Mystère, Michel Avril, André Gascogne... Under Yves Dermèze and Paul Béra, he wrote some "standards" of the french sci-fi and mystery literature (Le Titan de l'espace, L'image de l'autre...). I especially like one of his very first novel "Les Quatre Chateaux", with a terrific cover by Brantonne (1944). More about Dermèze by our friend Robo (in french).
