The "All New" Series 1 Garbage Pail Kids were released in the late summer of 2003 by Topps, Inc. A total of 3 print runs were released during a rising interest of old 80's nostalgic toys and hobbies. The new Garbage Pail Kids series is mainly comprised of the unreleased 1988 16th series set (from resurfaced proofs) along with 6 new images by artist John Pound and 5 new images by artist Tom Bunk, both GPK veterans.
